TOURIST INFORMATION

Documents required:
greece-documents.gif1) A foreigner, arriving in the Republic of Lithuania, at the checkpoint must submit the valid passport of the citizen of a foreign country or a corresponding travel document (hereinafter referred to as Travel document), issued for traveling into a foreign country and recognized in the Republic of Lithuania, to the Border Guard officer, who shall mark in it the date of arrival into the Republic of Lithuania.
The travel document must be valid not less than 90 days before the day of departing from the Republic of Lithuania.
A foreigner intending to stay in the Republic of Lithuania for more than 90 days per year must have a special visa in the valid travel document when arriving in the Republic of Lithuania.
2) A foreigner arriving in the Republic of Lithuania in a motor vehicle and driving it together with the aforementioned documents must submit to the Border Guard officer:
- driver’s license, allowing to drive the vehicle of this category;
- vehicle registration document;
- technical examination document.

E 77:  Pskov-Riga-Joniškis-Šiauliai-Tauragė- Kaliningrad-Gdansk-Warsaw-Krakow-Budapest
E 85:  Klaipėda-Kaunas-Vilnius-Lida-Chernovcy-Bucharest-Alexandropol
E 262:  Ostrov-Daugavpils-Zarasai-Ukmergė-Kaunas
E 272:  Klaipėda-Palanga-Šiauliai-Panevėžys-Ukmergė-Vilnius

Speed Limit for Motor Vehicles: 50 km/h in town, 90/h out of town on national roads, 110 km/h (November 1 – March 31) and 130 km/h (April 1 – October 31) on highways, unless traffic signs specify otherwise.

International Road Border Posts:
